Location : Cape Town. Initial 12‑month contract, onsite.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the quality engineering strategy across multiple projects.
• Validate and interpret complex test data to evaluate suitability of nonstandard materials or components.
• Design and monitor quality of website / applications software tests; respond to user emails to monitor, diagnose, correct performance issues.
• Specify design of quality assurance test methods and procedures; manage development and validation, incorporating new technologies and meeting changing requirements.
• Manage QA & UAT testing phase for the Summit modernization project, develop and implement testing strategies, manage test plans, coordinate testing activities with development teams and business stakeholders.
• Evaluate effectiveness of current policies and business processes within QMS; contribute to design of QMS, provide oversight to drafting of new policies and procedures, quantify costs and benefits of change.
• Communicate actions needed to implement function’s strategy; motivate team to achieve business goals.
• Monitor and review performance and behaviors; identify and resolve noncompliance with policies and regulations.
• Review existing operations, implement innovation processes for continuous improvement.
• Develop and deliver budget plans with guidance from senior colleagues.
• Manage and report on performance of a substantial diverse team; set objectives, hold individuals accountable.
• Identify team development needs; plan and implement actions, including professional development; provide informal training or coaching.
