Job Title : Material Planner

Monthly salary ranging from R25,000 to R28,000

Responsibilities

• Obey any legal and reasonable instructions.
• Planning and control over supply chain regarding material.
• Ensure sufficient material flow to production through stock reports.
• Fill all gaps in the supply chain in a timely manner.
• Report all material problems immediately to your Logistics Manager.
• Ensure urgent or late material is supplied to production lines through the correct channels.
• Send critical lists to suppliers and follow up with corrective actions.
• Maintain old FIFO dates in the warehouse regarding slow runners and expiry dates.
• Responsible for stock reports, freight reports, and various stock analyses.
• Maintain up-to-date information for production on current out-of-stock situations.
• Ensure material supply to projects.
• Maintain the MRP by comparing it to call-offs received from the customer.
• Order runs to all relevant suppliers as per the given date.
• Ensure that suppliers receive these orders at the correct time.
• Perform any general duties / tasks as may be assigned by management.
