As a Senior Machine Learning Developer, you will provide analytical expertise and support using advanced Machine Learning and AI methods, algorithms, and systems to extract actionable insights from complex data. You will develop, integrate, and optimize AI / ML solutions that enhance ECS products, processes, and dashboards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate AI detection models and algorithms into ECS solutions and dashboards
- Perform data mining, acquisition, transformation, and automated interpretation to support Machine Learning training and inference
- Discover and evaluate new Machine Learning methodologies, technologies, and tools for operational effectiveness
- Develop, test, code, and document mathematical and Machine Learning models using appropriate technology frameworks
- Collaborate effectively within cross-functional project teams to implement solutions
- Ensure quality assurance, documentation, and intellectual property registration of developed algorithms and models
Qualifications and Experience
Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or Operations Research (BSc, BEng, BTech)Postgraduate qualification preferred3–5 years of operational, data analysis, or research experience, preferably within industrial, manufacturing, engineering, or mining sectorsProven track record in analyzing complex datasets and delivering actionable insightsStrong proficiency in Python, SQL, and database queryingExperience with Big Data platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure, SQL Azure, Data Factories) and cloud computing platformsFamiliarity with Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)Expertise in core analytics & data visualization : EDA, descriptive, predictive, diagnostic, and prescriptive analysisKnowledge of machine learning algorithms, predictive analytics, model validation, statistical analysis, and mathematical modelingData wrangling, preprocessing, and workflow automation experienceThe Reference Number for this position is NG60839 which is a Permanent, hybrid position in Durban offering a salary of R380k up to R480k CTC salary negotiable based on experience.
