Section Supervisor

Only candidates with the relevant experience will be considered for the role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following main tasks :

o Monitoring of the overall health of the Orchard, recording problem trees and implementing corrective measure.

o Scouting and recording of pest loads and locations including the management of traps and bait stations.

o Supervision of teams and equipment assigned to you on a daily basis.

o Monitoring and management of your team in the execution of their assigned daily, weekly and / or periodic duties including irrigation, weeding, pruning, slashing, infrastructure repairs, picking and all other activity related to the care maintenance and upkeep or your section

o Record keeping and incident reporting on a regular basis (daily)

o Care maintenance and safekeeping of equipment assigned to you.

o Recording of operational information in the prescribed manner and at the prescribed frequency.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

o 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role in an orchard farming operation

o Experience with tractors, sprayers, quadbikes, and fertilizer handling equipment

o Excellent verbal and written communication skills

o Ability to lead and work in a team

o Valid driver’s license

o Experience with irrigation systems

o Experience with Avocados
