Production Officer

The Production Officer is responsible for overseeing various aspects of the production process, including crop census, agronomy sample management, crop protection, fertigation, pollination, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

The role ensures accurate record-keeping, adherence to quality standards, and seamless coordination with relevant teams.

Key Performance Outputs  Conduct crop census and maintain records.

Manage agronomy sampling and crop protection documentation.

Oversee fertigation and record-keeping.

Track flower counts and maintain hive placement records.

Document bee hive movements.

Monitor borehole water usage and maintain SIZA records.

Ensure equipment and housing maintenance records are updated.

Maintain Global GAP and QMS compliance records.

Oversee PPE stock and documentation.

Manage waste, pollution, and health & safety compliance.

Supervise fruit quality, logistics, and inventory control.

Ensure compliance with cold-room health & safety standards.

Manage stock records, maintenance, and staff schedules.

Requirements Education / Experience  Matric and Relevant Business Administration Diploma required Minimum 3 years of experience in agricultural production or compliance.

Knowledge of fertigation, crop protection, pollination, and agronomy sampling preferred.

Experience with inventory management and cold-room operations is an advantage.

Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Netsuite, or other farm management systems is beneficial.

Functional  / Behavioural  Strong organizational and data management skills.

Attention to detail and ability to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Knowledge of Global GAP and SIZA compliance.

Effective communication and coordination skills across teams.

Ability to analyze reports and maintain accurate record-keeping.

Familiarity with agricultural production systems and farm management.
