Factory Engineer

Job Overview

To lead the engineering processes to ensure that the Company meets their customer’s needs while maintaining safety standards and achieving operational excellence targets.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Repair, maintenance and upkeep of Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Instrumentation, Utilities and Site Facilities.
• General machinery regulations compliance.
• Energy management.
• Site security & cleaning.
• Lead the various engineering teams.
• Develop and execute a proactive maintenance and repair program, in conjunction with relevant Operations teams, to keep production equipment, systems, utilities and facilities at a high level of serviceability, improving availability and reliability of the equipment, minimizing downtime, and reducing overall production costs.
• Lead and manage Engineering Projects, including planning and directing the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment.
• Develop cost estimates for projects and maintenance work.
• Ensure OEM standards are adhered to on all machinery.
• Monitor energy usage continuously to ensure energy consumption targets are maintained.
• Oversee outsourced Security, Cleaning and Gardening functions.
• Develop and update quarterly an Engineering Strategy that outlines key focus areas.
• Document all planned major maintenance and repairs interventions and projects, monitoring progress against this plan.
• Develop clear short- and long-term action plans to address variances and achieve strategic business goals.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety, health and environment legislation and audit requirements.
• Proactively manage performance and team dynamics to maintain a professional and high-performance environment.
