Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and resolve technical problems remotely or at customer sites.
Perform on-site repairs installations and preventative maintenance of equipment such as food processing machinery retail and industrial scales weigh price labelling and inspection systems.
Set up and troubleshoot wired and wireless network-connected devices.
Maintain accurate documentation of service calls and activities.
Manage and account for spare parts inventory in the service vehicle.
Communicate effectively with customers regarding technical issues and service progress.
Promote and proactively sell service products and solutions to customers.
Occasionally lift equipment up to 35 kg and work in challenging environments (e.g. cold storage rooms).
Qualifications & Skills
Diploma or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering (or similar).
NRCS Verification Officer / Repairer certification advantageous.
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams schematics and spare part breakdowns.
Experience in the repair and installation of PC-based or processor-controlled equipment (e.g. labelling inspection systems industrial scales).
Strong analytical and diagnostic skills.
Familiarity with TCP / IP connections and other system bus protocols.
Solid knowledge of PC hardware interface technology Ethernet and networking systems.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Excellent customer service orientation with self-motivation and initiative.
Organized reliable and able to work under pressure.
Flexible working hours and willingness to travel extensively.
Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
