JOB PROFILE

FIXED TERM CONTRACT (12 MONTHS)

JOB TITLE : Specialist : Technology Transfer Projects

JOB GRADE : C5 Minimum Midpoint

TOTAL CTC : R - R

NO. OF INCUMBENTS : 1

DIVISION : Seda Technology Programme

LOCATION : National Office

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB :

To facilitate the provision of appropriate technology transfer through structured support and funding for small enterprises nationally.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS :

Assess small enterprises for the benefit of TTF.

Develop business cases to adjudication panel.

Administer the technology transfer fund nationally.

Establish and maintain accurate database.

Verification of supplied technology received at the client.

Contribute to the review of TTF policy and processes.

Conduct impact analysis on the technology intervention.

Conduct TTF awareness workshops.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATION :

Matric (NQF Level 4) plus a National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Commerce / Technology / Science and / or Engineering.

Bachelor Degree (NQF Level 7) in Commerce / Technology / Science and / or Engineering as an added advantage.

REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE :

4 - 6 years' experience in the following :

Field of technology transfer and technology needs assessment.

Assessment of viability and sustainability of small enterprises.

Thorough understanding of science and technology sector.

INHERENT JOB REQUIREMENT :

Advanced Computer Literacy in MS Office.
