DESCRIPTION OF ROLE :
Pick-Nik Marketing (Pty) Ltd manufactures, markets and sells tissue and hygiene products through Retail and Business to Business channels in South Africa and neighboring countries. Its Head Office and operational factories are in Gauteng, Kempton Park.
We are seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee all aspects of warehousing operations from receiving and storage to dispatch of both raw materials and finished goods. In this role, the incumbent must ensure streamlined inventory control, efficient use of space, and timely deliveries to both customers and production lines. Their leadership will be essential for maintaining product quality and minimizing operational delays while upholding safety and organizational standards.
KEY PERFOMANCE AREA :
- Manage daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, picking, and dispatching
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene
- Implement and maintain inventory control
- Coordinate with production, procurement, and logistics teams
- Lead and develop warehouse
- Monitor and optimize warehouse layout and space
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements and
- Oversee maintenance of warehouse equipment and infrastructure
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to Management

Inventory Accuracy : Achieve over 98% accuracy in stock counts and cycleOrder Fulfillment : Ensure more than 98% of orders are dispatched on time and inWarehouse Efficiency : Maintain high picking rates (e.g., bales per hour) for operationalSpace Optimization : Efficiently allocate storage space to maximize warehouseSafety & Compliance : Maintain zero lost-time injuries and full compliance with safetyTeam Engagement : Keep staff turnover low (under 3%) while ensuring adequateCost Management : Operate within the allocated budget, with continued year-on-yearSystem & Process Improvements : Implement at least two operational enhancementsMINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field5+ years of warehouse management experience, preferably in FMCG or manufacturingStrong knowledge of inventory systems (e.g., SAP, Syspro, WMS)Proven leadership and team management skillsFamiliarity with ISO standards and lean warehousing principlesCompetencies
