Internal Sales Administrator

The role of Internal Sales Administrator is a customer servicesrole, which sees our Internal Sales Administrators as the first point ofcontact, responsible for building strong relationships and deliveringexcellent service both internally and externally. This position offers thesuccessful candidate an excellent opportunity to utilize and developtheir skills within a dynamic multinational company. IMCD oiltech (Pty)Ltd is looking for a dependable,meticulous person to join our Lubes and Energy Business.

Person Profile : Targeted Skills & Capabilities

You will : -

  • UseJDE, Salesforce and be computer literate.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, you willbuild relationships telephonically and by putting together professional e-mailsand listening to and understanding client's orders and colleagues' instructions.
  • Be resilient, and able to multi-task and work underpressure. No two days are the same at IMCD. We work at a fast pace,and often encounter tight deadlines. You will have demonstrableexperience in working to an excellent standard when under pressure, adapting tocomplex or challenging situations as they arise.
  • Be solution focussed - our Internal Sales Administratorswork with our internal teams and customers to overcome challenges, solveproblems, and constantly seek to improve processes. You will be resourceful,able to understand and assess a situation quickly, and calmly identify andimplement solutions / improvements.

  • Be highly numerate - giving quotes, placing orders, preparingreports or working with spreadsheets. Being able to spot discrepancies,working with percentages and in general be comfortable working with numbers.
  • BeIT proficient - we will train you on our key systems, but we would like you tohave a good understanding of Word and Excel and be comfortable producinge-mails and letters.
  • Have administrative experience - atleast 5 years in a similar function

The position is responsible for :

  • Being the first pointof contact for customers in relation to order placement.
  • Receiving customerorders mainly by e-mail / phone and placing these in our ERP system. Salesinclude stock sales, consignment sales, ex-wharf sales and export sales.
  • Managing stocktransfers as well as damages and aged stock.
  • Handling queries relating to these orders such as damages,price queries and delivery delays.
  • Developing andmaintaining good relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Developing goodcommunication skills via email and phone with internal andexternal customers / colleagues.
  • Following bestpractice in relation to IMCD goals and values.
  • Organizing their workloadin an efficient and organized way, keeping the ERP system / colleagues up todate where necessary.
  • Efficient andsupportive team working.
  • Expected Qualification / Education :

    A post matric tertiary qualifaction in a related field will be an advantage.

    Work Experience :

    5 Years plus in a related field

    Primary Job Location :

    275 Oak Avenue, Ferndale, Randburg, South Africa (Durban candidates could be considered)

    Travel :

    Minimal Travel Required
