Job descriptionPlant Design and Commissioning : Troubleshooting and Problem Solving : Quality Control : Technical Support : Research and Development : Training and Mentoring : Safety and Environmental Compliance : Hydrometallurgy :  In-depth knowledge of hydrometallurgical principles and practices, including leaching, solvent extraction, and electrowinning. Solvent Extraction :  Expertise in solvent extraction chemistry, reagents, and process design. Electrowinning :  Knowledge of electrowinning principles, equipment, and operating parameters. Process Control :  Understanding of process control systems and techniques used in SX-EW plants. Analytical Chemistry :  Ability to interpret analytical data and use it to optimize the SX-EW process. Equipment and Instrumentation :  Familiarity with the equipment and instrumentation used in SX-EW plants. Safety and Environmental Regulations :  Understanding of safety and environmental regulations related to SX-EW operations.
Key Responsibilities of a Cu SX-EW Specialist :
- Process Optimization :
Analyzing and optimizing the SX-EW process to maximize copper recovery and minimize costs.Â
Contributing to the design, construction, and commissioning of new SX-EW plants or the expansion of existing ones.Â
Identifying and resolving operational issues in SX-EW plants, including those related to equipment, reagents, and process parameters.Â
Ensuring the quality of copper cathodes produced through the electrowinning process.Â
Providing technical expertise and guidance to plant personnel and management.Â
Contributing to research and development efforts aimed at improving SX-EW technology.Â
Training and mentoring other personnel in the operation and maintenance of SX-EW plants.Â
Ensuring that the SX-EW process is conducted safely and in compliance with environmental regulations.Â
