Preparing marketing reports to assist in the placement of client insurance programs. Reports will follow the Willis Towers Watson standard structure and contain key understanding of hazards at facilities and how the management team are controlling / mitigating their impact.
Present risk improvements and loss calculations
Develop risk improvement recommendations that are clear, appropriate and are fairly balanced between the interests of clients and insurers;
Calculate loss expectancies within company guidelines across a range of industries;
Undertake risk management audits;
Provide general advice on improving the risk management maturity within clients;
Ensure that all reports and other deliverables are prepared and ready in a timely manner;
Provision of technical support to clients and the broking team across a range of issues relating to good industry practices;
Clear understanding of the funding that supports engineering activities on individual accounts;
Ensuring that the proposed scope of engineering activities do not exceed the available fee amount unless agreed by Account Executive and client manager;
Maintain technical competency in chosen industry sector and keep up-to-date with risk management developments (. attend seminars, review technical publications, ;
Represent Willis professionally on business trips and in meetings;
Compliance with all Willis Towers Watson company policies (. Travel, Ethics, ;
Any other duties commensurate with position or level of responsibility
Job Expectations
Time is generally split between the office and the site being inspected.
Conditions may be cramped, dusty and dirty, depending on the site. Surveyors may need to work at heights, for example on factory sites and in hazardous locations. Some sites cover a large area and could involve a lot of walking to conduct the survey.
As surveyors represent the company on site, smart dress is required but with appropriate changes / cover for site conditions. Hard hats, boots and other protective equipment may be needed for some visits and are provided by the insurance company or client.
Travel is required for site visits with overnight stays required.
Overseas travel may be required if working for a multinational company
