Job descriptionMinimum 8 years’ IPP experience , specifically in South Africa’s REIPPPP environment. Strong track record in transactions from bid to financial close . Advanced financial modelling and valuation skills. Deep knowledge of renewable project financing, debt / equity structures, and PPA frameworks. Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (postgraduate / MBA advantageous). Exceptional stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
Overview
Our client, a leading Independent Power Producer, is seeking an experienced Senior Transactor to support large-scale renewable energy projects from bid stage through to financial close . The role requires strong financial modelling skills, commercial structuring expertise, and proven IPP sector experience within South Africa’s REIPPPP framework.
Responsibilities
- Lead transactions from bid submission to financial close within REIPPPP and private PPA frameworks.
- Build, review, and optimize detailed financial models for renewable energy projects.
- Support bid strategy, financial structuring, and risk assessments.
- Negotiate with lenders, investors, and stakeholders to secure project financing.
- Collaborate with technical, legal, and development teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Provide strategic advice on funding structures, market conditions, and investor appetite.
