Overview
ISTA Personnel Solutions South Africa - We are a global Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) company partnering with a USA-based client that provides skilled nursing care to homebound paediatric patients. We are currently seeking a Nursing Verification & Support Coordinator to join their dynamic and growing team.
The purpose of this role is to ensure that all nursing and healthcare-related appointments are accurately recorded, verified, and supported within the scheduling system. The role requires strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills to follow up with nurses or staff regarding late arrivals, missed sessions, or discrepancies. This position is not a HR role, however does involve elements of accountability and follow-up with staff to confirm reasons for variances. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining service quality, ensuring that appointment records meet client and insurance requirements, and supporting overall operational efficiency.
PLEASE NOTE :
- Working Hours : This role requires you to work EST hours, Monday - Friday from 9am to 6pm EST (15 : 00 to 24 : 00 South African time - subject to change dependent on daylight savings).
- Work Environment : This is a remote role only.
- Internet Requirements : A fixed fibre line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps (upload & download) and the ability to support a wired Ethernet connection is mandatory. Applicants without a fixed fibre line cannot be considered.
- Power Backup : A reliable power backup solution is required to manage load shedding and power outages. Applicants without a power backup cannot be considered.
Responsibilities
Review and verify nursing appointments within the scheduling systemIdentify discrepancies such as overlaps, lateness, or missed appointmentsCommunicate with nursing staff to confirm reasons for delays or missed sessionsDocument and escalate discrepancies where necessaryCollaborate with the scheduling team and onshore supervisorsEnsure records meet healthcare and insurance requirementsWork with scheduling software (Cubhub, Quickbase, Excel) to maintain accurate dataRequirements
Previous experience in healthcare administration, scheduling, quality assurance, or operations support (highly advantageous)Strong critical thinking and analytical skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesHigh attention to detail and accuracyTech-savvy; comfortable working with scheduling systems and databasesAbility to work independently while collaborating with a remote teamJob Details
