Overview

ISTA Personnel Solutions South Africa - We are a global Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) company partnering with a USA-based client that provides skilled nursing care to homebound paediatric patients. We are currently seeking a Nursing Verification & Support Coordinator to join their dynamic and growing team.

The purpose of this role is to ensure that all nursing and healthcare-related appointments are accurately recorded, verified, and supported within the scheduling system. The role requires strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills to follow up with nurses or staff regarding late arrivals, missed sessions, or discrepancies. This position is not a HR role, however does involve elements of accountability and follow-up with staff to confirm reasons for variances. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining service quality, ensuring that appointment records meet client and insurance requirements, and supporting overall operational efficiency.

PLEASE NOTE :

  • Working Hours : This role requires you to work EST hours, Monday - Friday from 9am to 6pm EST (15 : 00 to 24 : 00 South African time - subject to change dependent on daylight savings).
  • Work Environment : This is a remote role only.
  • Internet Requirements : A fixed fibre line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps (upload & download) and the ability to support a wired Ethernet connection is mandatory. Applicants without a fixed fibre line cannot be considered.
  • Power Backup : A reliable power backup solution is required to manage load shedding and power outages. Applicants without a power backup cannot be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Review and verify nursing appointments within the scheduling system
  • Identify discrepancies such as overlaps, lateness, or missed appointments
  • Communicate with nursing staff to confirm reasons for delays or missed sessions
  • Document and escalate discrepancies where necessary
  • Collaborate with the scheduling team and onshore supervisors
  • Ensure records meet healthcare and insurance requirements
  • Work with scheduling software (Cubhub, Quickbase, Excel) to maintain accurate data
  • Requirements

  • Previous experience in healthcare administration, scheduling, quality assurance, or operations support (highly advantageous)
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Tech-savvy; comfortable working with scheduling systems and databases
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a remote team
