Duties & Responsibilities
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION : To offer high quality, innovative teaching and learning; research, including the furthering of own qualifications in Sociology, and impactful community engagement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Offering quality teaching at undergraduate level. Supervising honours students.
Further own qualifications in Sociology.
Find meaningful opportunities to establish and continue impactful community engagement initiatives in keeping with the NWU commitment to social justice.
Serve on editorial boards and academic association committees, participate in the external evaluation of assessments for other universities, and participate in peer review processes for academic publication.
From time to time serve in faculty committee as well as subject and programme leadership positions as may become available.

REMUNERATION : The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
