Purpose :
The role is accountable for the business partner relationship to deliver the People strategy and working with line managers within the Function. To enable bottom line growth and the achievement of business plans and overall strategic direction of the business / organization.Key Responsibilities :
Providing advisory service with regards to People related practices, policies and procedures enhancing established business relationshipsEnsure that job profiles and competency matrices are maintained and available for all positions in area of responsibilityUpdate and maintain organization structures and planning in line with Distell requirements and policyTrack completion of objective setting, midyear review & end year reviews sessions with departmental plansMonitor completion of employee profiles & talent cardsOrganizing and maintaining personnel recordsManaging People documents (e.g. employment records and onboarding guides)Update internal databases (e.g. record sick or maternity leave)Prepare People documents, like employment contracts and new hire guidesLiaise with external partners, like insurance vendors, and ensure legal complianceAnswer employees’ queries about People-related issuesAssist payroll department by providing relevant employee information (e.g. leaves of absence, sick days and work schedules)Arrange travel & accommodation and process expense formsParticipate in People projects (e.g. help organize a job fair event)Education & Experience :
A 3-year qualification in Human Resources, Psychology, Humanity, Business or any other related fieldMinimum 3-year experience in Human Resources, or in an Organisational Development / Effectiveness environment.Sound knowledge of HR trends, best practices and procedures as well as appropriate labour legislation, e.g. Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Labour Relations Act, Employment Equity Act, etc.Good business acumen and successful problem-solving experience leading to lasting employee relations solutions within a business.Closing Date : 20 / 11 / 2025
