Electronic Engineer – Control & Instrumentation

Job descriptionBEng in Electronic Engineering (or equivalent). 25 years hands-on experience in PCB design (Altium, KiCAD, or similar); PLC programming & fault-finding; and control systems and instrumentation integration. Working knowledge of communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, and Ethernet / IP). Familiarity with low-voltage systems, signal conditioning, and loop tuning. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites when required. SCADA / HMI systems (e.g., Wonderware, WinCC, and Ignition). C / C++ or embedded firmware development. EMC and compliance testing. Electrical panel design and wiring knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test custom PCBs for control systems.
- Program and configure PLC systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Omron, etc.).
- Develop and maintain SCADA / HMI interfaces.
- Integrate and troubleshoot control and instrumentation systems (sensors, transmitters, and actuators).
- Perform field testing, commissioning, and calibration of equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver automation solutions.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, wiring diagrams, and system layouts.
- Support fault-finding and optimisation of electronic and control systems in production.
