Role Summary :

The Surgeon is responsible for providing pre-operative, operative, and post-operative management of patient care within the multi-disciplinary clinical team. Additionally, the Surgeon will provide clinical leadership within surgical facilities in support of the Iqarus Regional Medical Director.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Perform surgical interventions, including damage control surgery and procedures for emergency cases, to deliver life, limb, and function-saving medical treatment.
• Direct and coordinate activities of nurses, specialists, and other medical staff.
• Recognize and record information on medical condition and surgical risk.
• Stabilize and support a casualty before evacuation by air or land, in support of the ER clinical team if required.
• Liaise with other medical staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Ensure all medical records are properly kept and maintained.
• Provision of clinical reporting.
• Support clinical mentoring for staff development.
• Ensure best practices in line with clinical guidelines and SOPs.
• Support the clinical excellence framework under the direction of the Regional Medical Director.
