Health And Safety Officer

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Health and Safety and Maintenance Officer located in Brakpan.

The successful candidate will be responsible for daily tasks such as ensuring workplace safety by performing safety inspections, managing occupational health programs, implementing environment health and safety (EHS) policies, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

The role includes the preparation of safety reports, conducting safety training sessions, and investigating accident reports to mitigate future risks.

As well as maintenance and repairs of the property and machinery.

Qualifications

• Nosa Samtrac Certification or higher, Incident investigation, Supervision of Machinery, Health and Safety Rep and Fire Fighting certification
• Not less than 5 years Experience in Occupational Health and Workplace Safety
• Experience in creating and implementing safety policies and procedures
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Incident investigations
• Proper knowledge of CNC and typical fabrication workshop equipment
• Previous experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment is beneficial
