Project Manager - 3 Month Contract
Key Responsibilities
1. Feasibility Studies & Strategic Inputs
- Conduct techno-economic feasibility for setting up a reflector antenna manufacturing facility in South Africa.
- Evaluate cost-benefit scenarios of local vs. imported component manufacturing.
- Assess utility, infrastructure, and zoning requirements at preferred industrial sites.
- Provide recommendations on factory size, power needs, layout, and logistics.
2. Country Prioritisation & Market Intelligence
Using existing research, prioritise African countries beyond Ghana (e.g., Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Egypt, Morocco) for business potential.Create a comparison matrix to rank the feasibility and readiness of each country.Identify opportunities for regional supplier partnerships.3. Vendor & Supplier Engagement
Identify local and international suppliers for equipment, tooling, materials (e.g., molds, resins, composites).Evaluate vendor capabilities, lead times, import conditions, and compliance.Facilitate supplier contracting in alignment with project deadlines and quality standards.4. Factory Setup Planning
Develop a high-level rollout plan with timelines, cost forecasts, and dependencies.Recommend procurement and installation sequencing for major factory components.Coordinate with engineering teams for production workflow integration.5. Logistics & Import Facilitation
Manage logistics plan for importing specialised equipment.Engage clearing agents, freight forwarders, and customs to ensure compliance.Establish import schedules and related risk mitigation actions.6. Legal, IP, and NDA Compliance
Ensure all parties sign strict Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) specific to Stratosats requirements.The NDA will include a clause allowing for personal liability if unauthorised disclosures are made.Identify contract templates and legal risks for third-party supplier agreements.7. Stakeholder Coordination & Reporting
Coordinate regularly with The Company,Provide weekly updates and milestone reports to the company project office.Maintain a project risk register and regularly flag priority actions.Preferred Qualifications & Experience
Engineering, Industrial, or Project Management degree10+ years of experience in technical project execution, ideally in telecoms, aerospace, or manufacturingStrong procurement, vendor management, and import / export logistics knowledgeFamiliarity with African industrial environments and regulatory frameworksExperience with factory setup and production line implementation preferred
