Introduction

We are currently recruiting for a Fixed-Term-Contract (Maternity Cover) Digital Channel and Content Manager to join our dynamic team, based in Sandton.

To lead and manage the JSE digital platforms (websites, online advertising, intranet, and social media) content effectively, to create the best user experience for potential customers to access the JSE services and information and thus contributing to the attainment of the JSE strategic objectives while setting the standards and frameworks for capability best practices, governance, monitoring and reporting.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Results Delivery

  • Lead the delivery of the JSE enterprise-wide digital content strategy through and in partnership with the JSE preferred website agency.
  • Partner and collaborate with business to ensure that the digital web content supports the business overall objectives.
  • Develop a metrics for the measurement and evaluation of the JSE web, online advertising, intranet and social media platforms performance and report on progress periodically.
  • Generate insights, in relation to the web content and online advertising that can assist the business in attaining its set objectives.
  • Manage the Web UX and UI design processes as and when required to change the design of the website and intranet.
  • Manage the web testing with service providers to ensure good performance of the design as well as operation against set objectives.
  • Develop web governance policies and structure that is in line with the web and content strategy.
  • Manage and oversee the web analytics to generate insights for the web improvement and development.
  • Apply cost effective principles in the planning and delivery of tasks and activities that contribute to the achievement of divisional strategic goals.
  • Provide input into the divisional budget planning process.
  • Manage the departmental budget to ensure that spend is in line with budget provisions as well as negotiate with suppliers to get value for the allocated spend.
  • Lead the development of the website Corporate Identity and overall online Brand Identity.
  • Provide professional leadership in the development of the social media playbook for the business.
  • Identify and encourage stakeholders to utilize Data Management platforms to better improve the leads process.
  • Identify and encourage participation in activities that are appropriate for own and team member's development in respective areas of responsibility.
  • Demonstrate and deploy integrated risk management, governance and compliance frameworks across the digital platforms.

Stakeholder Relationship Management

  • Establish regular communication with internal business partners to support their business objectives through website and social media content management.
  • Build mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers / partners to deliver on set objectives for the function.
  • Manage internal stakeholder relationships through articulating the digital content strategy in a way that is well understood and supported by the business.
  • Anticipate partner needs by providing best in class digital content practices to ensure the up-to-date content for the website.
  • Provide subject matter expertise, insights, and thought leadership in digital platforms.
  • Process Management

  • Project manage the development of the JSE websites content strategy, that is aligned to the strategic goals of the business.
  • Develop clear processes as well as workflows for digital content changes, together with internal partners as well as vendors working on the website.
  • Ensure that team members adopt and follow the set processes in conducting their activities.
  • Ensure prudent resource management by developing briefing templates that will allow for clear communication of briefs and expectations to service providers.
  • Ensure that signoff procedures and best in class processes are developed and implemented.
  • Always ensure content accuracy especially with critical information that may have reputational impact on the JSE.
  • Balance potentially conflicting needs of the business partners with clients' expectations in relation to website content as well as social media platforms.
  • Work with digital agency to improve layout of the pages and SEO to make information easy to find as well as align with business objectives.
  • Utilise analytics to generate insights that can assist in improving the useability of the JSE websites.
  • Manage digital agency Service Level Agreements (SLA's) to ensure that they deliver within the agreed standards and expectations.
  • Continuously monitor efficiency of the digital platform and liaise with relevant stakeholders to make remedial action based on sound findings from the monitoring of the platforms.
  • Continuously improve on the quality and relevance of content shared on the platforms by understanding customer needs and mapping them against what the JSE platforms offer.
  • Work collaboratively with the brand and marketing teams to ensure that the digital platform is an effective communication and promotion channel for the business that promotes its offerings as well as enhancing its brand positioning according to the strategic intent of the division.
  • Meet compliance expectations by aligning content with marketing, brand and communication guidelines so that reputational risk can be averted.
  • Ensure that the brand visual identity guidelines are used on the digital platform and work collaboratively with the brand team to develop visual identity solution where current guidelines are unclear.
  • Work with marketing and brand team to refresh and keep the website visual appeal fresh and aligned to the brand positioning and visual guidelines.
  • Develop governance processes for both social media and web platforms.
  • Draw on latest best in class technologies and tactics to improve the digital marketing efforts of the JSE.
  • Work with stakeholders to source fit for purpose technology and solutions that will improve delivery as well as security of the JSE brand in the online space.
  • Manage end-to end digital projects and campaigns.
  • Continuously optimise landing pages A / B & Split Testing and while understanding user funnels.
  • Self Management

  • Ensure all team members understand and supported JSE vision and divisional strategy.
  • Take accountability for making others successful by removing obstacles to team performance and success.
  • Participate in recruitment processes to ensure selection contributing to success of team.
  • Ensure on-boarding process is followed for all new hires and transfers to embed the JSE values and cultures.
  • Ensure self and team members has required skill and professional / technical expertise by assessing gaps and development areas and creating development plans.
  • Ensure each team member has a job profile that clearly equips team member with a clear view of full performance in the job.
  • Create performance agreement for each team member with measurable goals and objectives so that they understand how their performance will be viewed, recognised and rewarded.
  • Conduct performance review sessions with team members to review performance and progress against targets and agree on appropriate action required to meet targets or standards.
  • Engage with team in such a way that the feel motivated to achieve better performance feel respects and diversity valued.
  • Transformation and Innovation Contribution

  • Contribute to driving improvements for the digital platform standards, tools and solutions by formulating digital presence policies.
  • Analyse, research, develop and implement improvement / innovative ideas and value adding solutions contributing to divisional and JSE result.
  • Keep abreast with social media trends and updates to ensure that the JSE strategies and tactics are adjusted to benefit from the ongoing platform updates and improvements.
  • Network with industry players to understand and to be informed of the social platforms offerings.
  • Continuously search for new web platforms, content management systems, web applications and functionalities that may be used and optimised by the JSE.
  • Qualification :

  • Degree or Diploma, in Marketing, Digital Marketing or Information Technology.
  • Experience :

  • 5 - 6 years' having worked in website development.
  • 2 years' experience in managing teams as well as working in a digital marketing environment.
