We are seeking a Senior Consultant Functional Integration & Strategy to lead strategic alignment, enable functional integration, manage performance systems, and support organizational change across a large-scale mining operation.
Key Responsibilities :
Drive Strategic Alignment
- Connect programme initiatives to strategic business objectives
- Build and maintain strategy alignment maps
- Cascade KPIs from organizational strategy to operational metrics
- Ensure alignment between short-term performance and long-term ramp-up goals
Lead War Room & Performance Management
Establish and manage a central War Room for programme oversightIntegrate KPIs across the full mining value chainDevelop visual management tools for senior leadershipTrack progress, highlight risks, and coordinate steering committee reviewsEnable Functional Integration
Align support services (maintenance, engineering, planning, etc.) with operational transformationFacilitate integration across a matrix organizational structureCoordinate between mining operations and critical infrastructure functionsSupport contractor collaboration and Business Partner model implementationSupport Communications & Change Management
Design and execute a comprehensive change and communication strategyDevelop communication materials and targeted messagesFacilitate leadership alignment, summits, and stakeholder sessionsManage engagement across internal teams and contractor groupsOptimize Organizational Structures & Operating Models
Review and refine organizational structures to support transformationCo-design operating models and management routinesDevelop and roll out leadership and management meeting structuresEnsure structures are fit for current needs and future ramp-upShape Values, Culture & Leadership Behaviour
Integrate organizational values into transformation activitiesSupport development of aligned behaviours and cultural expectationsStrengthen safety culture and embed leadership accountabilityJob Experience & Skills Required (Ideal Candidate Profile) :
Essential Experience
12+ years in the mining industry, with significant strategic or transformation experienceProven track record leading large-scale organizational changeDeep understanding of mining value chains and functional interdependenciesStrong experience with KPI cascading, performance systems, and War Room structuresSkilled in communication, change management, and senior stakeholder engagementExperience working closely with senior leadership teamsHighly Advantageous
Experience in fully integrated mining operations (mine-to-mill)Experience in African mining environmentsExposure to contractor / Business Partner operating modelsExperience in ramp-up, turnaround, or recovery projectsCertification in change management (e.g., Prosci)Qualifications
