BOOKKEEPER

Strandsorg (Huis Esperanza and Huis Pam Brink) is a programme of Badisa, a joint ministry action of the Dutch Reformed Church (Western Cape) and United Reformed Church of South Africa (Cape). We are inviting enthusiastic, responsible and motivated people to apply for this position.

Responsibilities

• Computerized accounting up to trial balance
• Monthly preparation of financial statements
• Compiling budgets
• Financial administration (lodging, subsidies, and accounts)
• Salary administration and statutory returns
• Pay-out of pensions for residents
• Administrative and secretarial duties.

Candidates should have good human relations and well-developed numeric and computer skills. The position also requires accuracy and the ability to function well under pressure, as well as knowledge of Pastel and VIP.
