Key Responsibilities
- Guest Interaction & Hosting Deliver a seamless personalised experience by building relationships remembering names and meeting guest requests with warmth and efficiency.
- Lobby & Public Area Presence Maintain a welcoming presence in public areas ensuring cleanliness ambience and presentation are exemplary.
- VIP & Group Coordination Personally welcome VIPs and groups manage room allocations and provide thoughtful touches such as room drops and turndowns.
- Guest Profiling & Communication Manage guest profiles pre-arrival communications and post-departure follow-ups ensuring information is accurate and shared across departments.
- Requests & Complaints Management Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests complaints and special requirements.
- Travel Desk Liaison Coordinate tours transfers and Cape Town experiences with travel partners maintaining accurate records and service provider relationships.
- Operational Support Assist with Opera system functions including check-ins check-outs reports and room allocations ensuring smooth communication with the Guest Experience Manager and team.
Requirements
Matric (Grade 12); hospitality qualification or diploma advantageous12 years experience in a guest-facing hospitality roleProficiency in Opera or similar PMS systemsStrong knowledge of Cape Town and Western Cape attractions and experiencesExcellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skillsProfessional flexible and detail-orientedMust hold a valid South African IDKey Competencies
