General Manager, Sales, Road (Automotive)

Overview

Our client, a global leader in transport and logistics, is seeking a General Manager, Sales, Road (Automotive) to join their team. The General Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the Automotive vertical and the Key Account Managers to which automotive accounts are allocated.

Job type : Permanent Position – on site

Responsibilities

• Tender submissions, where required, and compiling and presenting proposals to customers
• Monitoring billing variance reports to identify revenue loss and leakage
• Achieve new business and retention targets
• Setting annual budgets for all customers
• Annual goal setting for all subordinates along with quarterly follow-ups
• Performance reviews - quarterly and annually
• Contract negotiation
• Annual rate increase calculations and implementation
• Ensure updated and signed contracts for all customers
• Maintain a register of annual increases applied
• Monthly and annual insurance declaration compliance
• Customer engagements - either on site or virtual
• Swiftly deal with customer escalations and identify feasible solutions
• Build strong relationships with other departments and business units
• Provide expert advice to sales staff in designing new solutions to customers
• Continuously assist in developing new processes to ensure effective and profitable business practices
• Oversee the implementation of new accounts or services
