Senior Accountant

Overview

Our client, a leading international financial services group, is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their US Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain exposure to global operations, complex reinsurance arrangements and high-level financial reporting processes, all while being based in South Africa.

Key Responsibilities

• Take an active role in the US GAAP and Statutory financial close and reporting process.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting workpapers for monthly, quarterly and annual deliverables.
• Assist with external financial reporting, regulatory filings and compliance submissions.
• Analyse earnings and key financial variances to support management insights.
• Streamline accounting processes and enhance internal controls.
• Support ad-hoc reporting and analytical projects.
