Job Overview
A vacancy exists for an IR / HR & Payroll Coordinator at SNAGG Management (Pty) Ltd . The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and supporting all Human Resources, Industrial Relations, and Payroll functions to ensure compliance with BCEA, LRA, MIBCO, and company policies. The role includes maintaining accurate employee data, processing payroll in a timely and compliant manner, and supporting management and employees with HR and IR-related matters.

Monday to Friday, 08 : 00 – 16 : 00 (occasional overtime or after-hours support as required)

Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Administration
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee records (electronic and hard copy) in line with POPIA and BCEA requirements
- Prepare employment contracts, renewals, and terminations
- Manage onboarding and induction of new employees
- Track probation periods, medicals, and expiry of employee documentation
- Support managers with HR-related queries and procedural guidance
Time & Attendance Management
Collect, verify, and reconcile timesheets for accuracyTrack absenteeism, late arrivals, and leave recordsManage Uniclox Time and Attendance System for applicable sitesCalculate shift allowances, overtime, standby, and reimbursements in line with BCEA or MIBCO provisionsIndustrial Relations (IR)
Implement and maintain fair labour practices as per the LRA and Code of Good PracticeDraft and issue disciplinary documentation and maintain IR registersCoordinate disciplinary hearings, grievances, and appealsRepresent or prepare cases for CCMA conciliations and arbitrationsAdvise management on disciplinary processes and maintain an IR trackerPayroll Processing
Prepare and process monthly payroll for hourly and salaried employeesCapture and verify all variable inputs (hours, overtime, bonuses, deductions)Reconcile payroll registers and verify totals before submissionGenerate and securely distribute payslipsProcess new employees, terminations, and salary adjustments on Sage Payroll ProfessionalPrepare EMP201, UIF, and SDL submissions and assist Finance with payroll reconciliationsStatutory Compliance & Reporting
Ensure compliance with BCEA, LRA, EEA, SD Act, UIF, COIDA, and POPIAAssist with Employment Equity (EEA2 / EEA4) and Skills Development (WSP / ATR) submissionsPrepare HR and payroll reports (headcount, absenteeism, overtime trends, IR cases, salary costs)Support internal and external auditsHR Projects & General Support
Participate in HR initiatives such as wellness days, training plans, and staff engagementSupport management with workforce planning, recruitment, and retention strategiesImprove HR and payroll systems, templates, and reporting toolsMinimum Qualifications
National Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or Payroll AdministrationExperience
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in an HR & Payroll role (preferably within manufacturing, automotive, or service industries)Experience with Sage Payroll Professional and Uniclox Time and Attendance SystemSkills and Competencies
Technical Competencies
Knowledge of BCEA, LRA, EEA, UIF, COIDA, and MIBCO Main AgreementAdvanced MS Excel and data reconciliation skillsProficiency in Sage Payroll and Uniclox SystemsBehavioral Competencies
