Specific Role Responsibilities
Monitor sales to ensure that emphasis is placed on profitabilityEnsure the sale of all necessary items to support Customer’s requirementsEnsure that the department achieves budget objectives and Toyota purchase targetsEnsure that stock levels are in accordance with budget and Toyota standardsEnsure that discounts are monitored and that corrective action is taken when necessaryControl all budgetary spending and ensure that it remains within targetDiscuss significant variations in budget with Dealer PrincipalMonitor all overheads and stock valuesReport to Dealer Principal the debtor’s situation and highlight any variation from PolicyOperate within purchasing budget (number of weeks’ stock) –Toyota StandardsOrganize sales promotions to boost salesPlan, initiate and promote parts sales eventsCooperate with other departments in their campaignsDraw up and initiate parts marketing plansPromote and sell parts by visiting existing and prospective clientsEnsure that sales staff maintains constant contact with existing and prospective clientsMaximize accessory sales through New CarsEnsure lost sales are been recorded and records utilizedHold weekly Kaizen meetings to discuss opportunities and issues and Sales performanceEnsure that all orders are completed within Customers’ requirements and that all necessary follow-ups are carried outExamine all major transactions to determine how Customer service may be improvedAttend to all necessary inquiries promptly, efficiently and timeouslyEnsure absolute clarity in all Customer communicationsEnsure that all transactions are correctly recorded and, when necessary, information passed to other departmentsEnsure that stock levels are promptly and accurately updatedMonitor Customer credit facilities and ensure due paymentEnsure that all cash sales, parts returned and CODs are controlled and / or paid on a daily basisEnsure that all daily / weekly / monthly reports are produced promptly and accurately and analyze themPrint a B / O report and discuss with staff at least once a weekMonitor negative stock to ensure accuracy of stock movement, B / O and stock fileSign off all credit notes & buyoutsFollow up on parts bought and not soldEstablish and maintain the number of adequately trained staff needed to achieve industry and Toyota standardsRecruit, select, develop and remunerate staffOperate staff performance appraisal systems at least twice a year and ensure that action is taken on resultsEnsure high standards (of all staff) of performance.Keep all staff updated on changes in existing models and all newly introduced models, exchange units, accessoriesQualifications and Experience
3 years’ Parts Manager experience is essential.A minimum of Grade 12.Valid Driver’s LicenseClear Criminal RecordMotor industry experience is essentialComputer literacy is essentialKerridge & E-Toyota system knowledge is essentialSales / Retail / Business Development jobs
