Senior UX Writer
TymeX is the tech and operations arm of TymeGroup. Mostly based in Asia, we design and develop software for our business units. We hold bank licenses in South Africa (TymeBank) and the Philippines (GoTyme) and are expanding rapidly in APAC.
The Team
We have an award-winning Design team comprising of 30 UX Designers, UI Designers, Design System Designers, Motion Designers, UX Researchers, UX Writers, and Strategists. You will join our 4-member UX Writing squad, tackling the challenge of creating clear and consistent copy across multiple countries and markets. The Role
We are currently looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Senior UX Writer. Experience in the fintech industry is an added advantage. Critical thinking, a strategic mindset, and the ability to focus on the big picture rather than individual pages are vital for this role. The position has a strong focus on content operations, maintaining writing standards, and ensuring consistency across our products. The applicant can be based in South Africa or the Philippines (hybrid, with a few days in our offices in Johannesburg, Cape Town, or Manila), remote from anywhere, or ideally in Ho Chi Minh City (hybrid, with a few days in our office). For those willing to relocate to HCMC, Vietnam, we offer a competitive relocation package and can negotiate a delayed relocation timeline.
Requirements
- A passion for UX writing and content operations.
- 4+ years of experience writing for digital products.
- A background in UX / product writing, content design, or digital copywriting and a portfolio of work to back it up.Only applications with a shared portfolio are taken into consideration.
- Demonstrable experience collaborating with different teams across countries and time zones.
- Experience establishing and maintaining content standards, style guides, and documentation.
- The ability to present and defend your UX writing decisions.
- Help to forge a style and voice for the brand that makes our customers feel safe and understood.
- Ensure that all product messaging is clear, accurate, useful, and true to the brand.
- Work cross-functionally with POs, designers, and BOs to ensure consistency in messaging across our channels.
- Review data to understand customer behaviour and adapt messaging accordingly.
- Review all product messaging before it goes live to maintain quality standards.
- Develop and maintain content operations processes and governance frameworks.
- Coordinate with the UX writer team to ensure consistency and localisation are considered.
- Be familiar with collaborative tools and processes such as Confluence, Jira, and Figma.
- Be an ambassador for UX writing, playing a key role in helping this growing team reach its potential.
