Summary

Our client within the Retail sector as an opportunity for an experienced Data Manager to come on board to lead teams focussing on on-premise data solutions as well as AWS-based cloud data engineering. You will have the opportunity to be part of a team leveraging data to drive insights, innovation and efficiency, by ensuring seamless integration between on-premise and cloud environments.

Summary

Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable secure and high-performing Data Architectures across both on-premise and AWS-based cloud platforms
Optimise ETL processes for Oracle Data Warehouse
Ensure strong data governance, security and compliance frameworks to maintain data integrity
Drive adoption of modern data technologies (Spark / Kafka / Airflow / NoSQL solutions)
Oversee CI / DC processes for data pipelines to ensure Agile and efficient deployments
Develop and mentor a team of high-performing Data Engineers

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or related field

6 Years of experience in Data Engineering with 2 years leading Data Teams

Proficiency in SQL and Python for data processing and automation

Experience in AWS Cloud Data Architecture

Deep understanding of ETL pipelines, data lakes, data warehouse and real-time stream processing

Knowledge of Data Governance, Access Control and Compliance Frameworks
