Duties & Responsibilities

ENVIRONMENT :

Our client a software developer specializing in digitization in emerging markets is seeking a strategic CFO to lead financial operations across Africa ensuring alignment with business goals regulatory compliance and sustainable growth. The ideal candidate will combine financial expertise risk management acumen and leadership to drive the groups financial vision.

DUTIES :

Strategic Financial Leadership

• Develop and executelong-term financial strategiesaligned with group objectives.
• Drivefinancial planning forecasting and M&A activities.
• Provide insights to shape overallbusiness strategy and expansion.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

OverseeIFRS-compliant financial statements(monthly / quarterly / annual).

Manageexternal auditsto secure unqualified audit reports.

Implementinternal controlsand audit functions.

Risk Management & Treasury

Identify / mitigate financial risks; maintainrobust control frameworks.

Optimizecash flow liquidity and capital allocationacross markets.

Managebank relationships loans and investments.

Budgeting & Cost Efficiency

Lead group-widebudgeting processesand cost-saving initiatives.

Analyse variances and provideactionable financial insights.

Stakeholder & Investor Relations

Act as primary liaison forinvestors banks and regulators.

Communicate financial performance andcapital-raising strategies.

Tax & Regulatory Oversight

Ensure compliance withSouth African tax lawsand sector-specific regulations.

Optimize the groupstax position and risk management.

Technology & Systems

Implementfinancial management systemsfor efficiency and scalability.

Collaborate with ICT to align finance tools withtech infrastructure.

Team Leadership & ESG

Mentorfinance teamsacross subsidiaries; foster talent development.

IntegrateESG principlesinto financial strategies and reporting.

REQUIREMENTS :

Education :

Bachelors inFinancial Management / Accounting;CA(SA)

MBA advantageous.

Experience :

8 yearspost-qualification preferably inIT Banking or Insurance.

Proven track record inmulti-country financial leadership.

Skills :

Financial strategyIFRS compliance risk management budgeting.
