Job description

Responsibilities and duties will include :

  • Vehicle Design Leadership : Lead the design, development, and improvement of various military vehicles, including armored vehicles.
  • Technical Expertise : Apply in-depth knowledge of vehicle systems, including suspension, armor, drivetrains and electronics.
  • Project Management : Oversee all stages of the design process, from initial concept through to production, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with project goals and military specifications.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with engineers to ensure vehicle designs meet the operational requirements and performance criteria.
  • Compliance & Standards : Ensure designs meet relevant military standards, such as MIL-STD, and comply with defense regulations.
  • Team Mentorship : Lead and mentor a team of junior designers and engineers, providing guidance and expertise to support their professional development.

Key Qualifications :

  • Experience : Minimum 5-10 years of experience in military vehicle design, with a portfolio of successfully completed projects.
  • Education : Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills :
  • Proficiency in CAD software (Preferably Autodesk Inventor).
  • Knowledge of military vehicle systems and subsystems (e.g., powertrain, armour, electronics). Strong understanding of the manufacturing processes and materials.
  • Knowledge : Extensive knowledge of military specifications and defense industry standards, such as MIL-STD and NATO standards. In depth knowledge of suspension, powertrains, cooling packs for military vehicles.
  • Problem-Solving : Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in high-stakes environments.
  • Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts.
  • Leadership : Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage teams, budgets, and timelines.
