Accountant

My client is looking for an experienced Accountant to join their team on a 6-month fixed-term contract . Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare management accounts, including budgets, forecasts, cash flow statements, and variance analyses.
• Ensure full compliance with IFRS standards and applicable tax legislation.
• Complete VAT returns, year-end tax packs, and all regulatory financial submissions.
• Own balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring that all reconciling items are cleared within 30 days.
• Oversee income and expenditure controls, creditor payments, and inter-company loan reconciliations.
• Lead and develop team members through effective performance management, coaching, and support.
• Collaborate with Internal and External Auditors.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and support revenue-enhancing initiatives.
• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal preparation and financial reviews.
