Overview
We are looking for a dynamic, innovative, customer centric individual to join the Warehouse team at Artisanal in Montague Gardens.
Purpose
Responsible for overseeing the entire operation of a warehouse, ensuring efficient and safe storage and distribution of goods.
Responsibilities
- Assist Plant Manager in compiling data for annual budgets
- Managing warehouse budgets and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Lead and coordinate the site's periodic stock take sessions, ensuring we remain within our targeted variance percentages
- Have a clear understanding of the company’s policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to these.
- Coordinate and monitor the receipt, order, assembly and dispatch of stock, ensuring that goods and stock flow safely, smoothly and consistently in and out of the warehouse facility to customers
- Optimizing warehouse layout, storage space utilization, and workflow to improve efficiency.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies
- Inspecting and overseeing the maintenance of warehouse equipment and machinery.
- Ensuring that all equipment is in safe working condition
- Generating reports & analysing data as required by relevant business practices
- Use data & analysis and identify areas for improvement.
- Managing stock levels, tracking inventory, and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Maintain stock loading turnaround time
- Coordinate the use of automated and computerised systems to optimize efficiency
- Supervise warehouse staff, assigning tasks and monitoring their performance and progress to ensure productivity & other targets are met
- Build team philosophy and cultivate a team atmosphere by working with the team to achieve the company’s targets and objectives
- Planning, managing and adjusting staffing levels to meet daily operational requirements within the warehouse as per agreed team structures (organogram)
- Implementing and enforcing safety regulations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and maintaining a safe work environment (OSHA)
- Ensure compliance to all food safety regulations, allergen control, housekeeping and pest control
- Participate in personal hygiene checks

Technical Skills and Experience
National Diploma in Logistics or WarehousingMinimum 3-5 years’ experience in warehouse managementStrong stock control managementThorough understanding of warehousingExperience in a FMCG warehouse environment advantageousApplication and Enquiries
