• Hello Future Data Scientist III Welcome to FNB, the home of the #changeables and the Future of AI and Recommender Systems (RecSys). We design for the shapeshifters and deliver products and services that make us incredibly proud of the people that make it happen. We are currently in search of a Data Scientist to research, plan, build, implement and optimize RecSys models within the Dynamic Decisioning team. The Data Scientist is expected to use advanced analytics to address business problems and opportunities and implement business strategy.
• Are you a data scientist who can :
• Take a hands-on approach to solving challenges, leveraging data-driven insights and innovative techniques.
• Research the RecSys literature and adapt what’s relevant into our world.
• Develop and optimize machine learning models for recommender systems.
• Utilize advanced techniques such as deep learning, and reinforcement learning to enhance recommendation accuracy and user experience.
• Set-up simulations and run AB-test experiments to ensure data-driven decision-making through experimentation.
• Drive projects independently, translating business problems into AI-powered solutions with measurable impact.
• Stay curious and adaptable, continuously learning and improving in a fast-paced, evolving field.
• Translate business requirements into effective AI models, ensuring they align with strategic goals and business impact.
• Build, test, and deploy RecSys models into MLOps pipelines that enhance decision-making, reduce risks, lower costs, and optimize efficiency.
• We are looking for :
• Minimum qualification : Degree MSc in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Data
• Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience required : 5 years’ experience within data science or data engineering.
• Hands-on experience with :
• o Python for data science, machine learning, and model development.
• o Writing complex SQL queries and working with large datasets using PySpark / SQL tools.
• o Developing AI-powered workflows using relevant libraries and frameworks (e.g.
• TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• o Cloud platforms such as AWS / Azure / GCP.
• o Natural Language Processing / embeddings / transformer models, to be applied in the
• context of Recommender Systems.
• o Monitoring and visualizing model performance with MLflow or similar analytics platforms.
• o A solid understanding of machine learning principles, including neural networks, model optimization, and deployment best practices.
