WebSphere Application Server Specialist

Job Description,

The request is for a senior WAS Administrator, with on-the-job experience in WAS Installations, Configurations, Troubleshooting and day-to-day administration of the WAS deployment.

Required Expertise may include :

• Expertise in performing Product installs on disparate Operating Systems, configuration, clustering, problem determination, and administration of WAS / IHS 6.x,7.0,8.x / 9.x on AIX, Linux, Windows servers operating systemsÂ
• Installation and configuration of   IBM HTTP Server6.x,7.0 / 8.0 / 8.5 / 9.x.Â
• Deploying applications and maintaining them on Websphere Application Server.Â
• Applying fixpacks and ifixes on WAS.Â
• Migration or Upgrade experience between WAS versions.
• Creating and managing certificates ( SSL ) and installation on WAS, IHS and Apache.Â
• Working with tools like Dynatrace to troubleshoot issues with WAS and applications deployed on WAS.
• Creating Shell scripts and automating them
• Excellent written and verbal communications skillsÂ
• Ability to work after-hours and weekends when required.
