Manager, Data

Overview

To act as subject matter expert on all data and information matters for an allocated Business Unit and provides input into all decisions relating to data engineering and the use thereof. Provide guidance in terms of setting governance standards.

Oversee infrastructure tools and frameworks used to support the delivery of end-to-end solutions to business problems through high performing data infrastructure.

Responsible for expanding and optimising the organisations data and data pipeline architecture whilst optimising data flow and collection to ultimately support data initiatives. Builds scales and maintains Merchant Solutions SA data.

To ensure visibility of Information Management with Business Unit leadership and secure executive sponsorship of data related initiatives.

To mature the information management discipline within the Merchant Solutions team with the support of the Head Product Economics

Qualifications

Type of Qualification : First Degree

Field of Study : Business Commerce or Finance and Accounting

Experience

Experience Required

Minimum of 5 Years experience indata / information systems within financial services experience in Management of data / Information and Reporting using tools such as SQL Teradata Cognos Qlikview SSAS SSRS etc. Previous experience in data analytics and insights is preferred.
