Aerospace Embedded Software Engineer – Responsible for designing, developing and testing embedded software for flight computers and mission‑critical systems. Ideal candidates must bring strong proficiency in C programming, extensive experience with microcontrollers, and a proven background in embedded systems development.

Duties
- Develop and maintain embedded software for flight computers, with a focus on real‑time performance and reliability.
- Write and optimize code in C for microcontrollers (ARM Cortex‑M or similar).
- Implement drivers, bootloaders, and middleware for peripherals (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, GPIO).
- Integrate algorithms into embedded applications for navigation, control, and data processing.
- Debug software directly on custom hardware in collaboration with hardware engineers.
- Perform unit, integration, and system‑level testing of embedded software.
- Ensure compliance with safety‑critical aerospace standards and real‑time system requirements.
- Participate in system architecture design and software code reviews.
Required Skills
Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, or individual granted asylum / refugee status, in accordance with ITAR / EAR regulations).Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).3+ years of professional experience in embedded software development.Expertise in C programming for embedded systems (must‑have).Strong hands‑on experience with microcontrollers (ARM Cortex‑M or similar).Proven track record in embedded system design, coding, and debugging.Experience with RTOS (e.g., FreeRTOS) for scheduling and task management.Familiarity with debugging tools such as JTAG, SWD, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.Strong understanding of deterministic, real‑time software design.Excellent teamwork and communication skills.Bonus
Experience with NXP i.MX RT series or similar high‑performance microcontrollers.Familiarity with aerospace software standards (e.g., DO‑178C).Experience with embedded Linux or other real‑time operating systems.Knowledge of avionics or flight computer architectures.Proficiency with Git and CI / CD for embedded software.Assembly language programming experience for optimization.Familiarity with Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) applications.Passion for our mission to revolutionize wildfire mitigation through autonomous aerospace technology.Expected Hours / Schedule
Full Time : Monday–Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 6 : 00 PM.
