We have an immediate opening for a Model Based Systems Engineer to join our team. This position will provide an opportunity to develop the innovative technology that supports some of our nation’s most important defense initiatives. Kitty Hawk employees work closely with our customers to develop solutions that support national engineering and security missions. The ideal candidate will support our team in providing program support to the Department of Defense (DoD).

Responsibilities

• Works as part of a team to support an RDTE project in developing system architectures using the SysML language and Cameo Systems Modeler toolset.
• Perform MBSE efforts in Cameo (requirements development, documentation, architecture documentation, traceability, SysML and Parametric representations, etc.) for an anti‑ship cruise missile test target and associated Modeling and Simulation (M&S) efforts.
• Document system architecture and requirements using Cameo System Modeler.
• Work with Program Manager and Missile Engineers to develop, derive, and track requirements.
• Work with developers and missile engineers to develop appropriate verification and validation of requirements.
• Work with program manager and technical leads to track requirements, change requests, configuration control changes, and risks and mitigation plans.
• Adhere to existing project SysML style guidance.
• Participate in recurring Technical Exchange Meetings to align model development with project milestones and requirements.
• Prepare technical presentations, briefings, and papers to address model development status.
• Works independently with minimal supervision / oversight in a team environment.
• Must be committed to working on‑site at the KHT office or government customer facility. Flexible work arrangement may be available as dictated by customer support requirements.
