Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our Johannesburg Earthmoving Machinery Sales Team . The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing key client relationships, and ensuring our sales targets are exceeded through strategic planning, leadership, and execution. Must be fluent in Afrikaans.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the sales team to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies for earthmoving machinery and equipment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
- Conduct regular market analysis to identify trends, new opportunities, and competitor activity.
- Negotiate and close high-value machinery deals with professionalism and integrity.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular performance reports to management.
- Work closely with the marketing and operations departments to align business objectives.
- Train, mentor, and motivate the sales team to ensure peak performance and professional growth.
- Represent Dura Equipment Sales at our trade shows, exhibitions, and customer events.
- Uphold company values, ethics, and brand reputation at all times.
Requirements
Minimum 5–10 years’ proven experience in heavy equipment or earthmoving machinery sales (management experience essential).A degree in business, finance, accounting, retail managment, communications, or a related field is required.Strong understanding of machinery brands, specifications, and market pricing.Demonstrated success in managing sales teams and achieving sales growth.Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.High level of technical and product knowledge within the machinery sector.Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.Computer literacy (MS Office, CRM systems).A results-oriented, self-motivated leader with integrity and a passion for sales excellence.How to Apply
