Job description/ B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering At least 2-7 years industrial design experience Advanced Solidworks experience Advanced geometric dimensioning and tolerancing Advanced knowledge of the MS Office Sound understanding of fabrication, boiler making, welding and precision machining LV electrical systems Enterprise PDM exposure FEM / FEA simulation analysis Engineering calculations software (Mathcad, MATLAB or similar) Excellent level of English Excellent written communicator Excellent teamwork and communication skills Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills Please note that the successful candidate will receive a formal, written offer of employment after all applicable pre-employment checks have been completed. SA Steelworks requires a committed and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will provide support to the Engineering department .
Job Description :
The successful candidate will be expected to
- be an expert in 3D CAD packages; including detailed design of industrial machines, sub-components, sheet metal design, weldments & large-scale assemblies
- generate detailed drawings and BOM’s
- prepare manufacturing and assembly instructions
- be highly competent at mechanical stress and load calculations, and, implementation of FEA and simulation software
- have substantial experience with industrial machine and structural design
- have substantial knowledge of motors, hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical power transmission
