Reports to : Workshop Manager (OP1) / Ops Specialist Workshop (M6)
Core DescriptionResponsible for minor maintenance repairs and refurbishment of point of sale and various printer devices.
Key Deliverables / Primary FunctionsSuccessful completion of hardware repairs, including : Stripping down and re-assembling hardware peripheralsTesting mobile devicesCalibrating and configuring all printersApply devices to workshop product refurb process and proceduresUtilising tools and basic instrumentation such as multi-meters and soldering ironsUsing proper cleaning materials including safety PPE materialNotify line management of any potentially defective machinery and carry out basic maintenance / repair work as requiredRunning Quality Assurance (QA) testing by device through all client test jigs in the workshop environmentPrepare periodic inventory or maintain perpetual inventory of tools and equipmentCore Functional Skills & CapabilitiesICT Knowledge

Minimum QualificationsNQF 4 : Grade 12 National Diploma
ExperienceMinimum 2-years' experience in repairing and testing hardware and software applications.
CertificationsElectronics Certification
COMPTIA
Microsoft Systems Associate or Engineer (MCSA or MCSE)
Linux LPIC (1 and 2), Certified Linux Administrator or CompTIA Linux+.
Special Requirements / Employment ConditionAbility to work extended / long hours as required
