This role supports the Store Leader in driving store performance, customer experience, and daily operations. We are seeking someone with strong leadership potential, excellent communication skills, and the ability to grow into a Store Leader role in the future.
The Shift Leader will assist in managing store operations, leading a team, and ensuring outstanding customer service. This role is critical to delivering a high-quality retail experience while maintaining operational excellence, visual standards, and team engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Operational Performance
Support the achievement of store turnover targets through effective team engagement.
Monitor shrinkage risks and ensure stock-loss controls are implemented.
Identify merchandising opportunities and maintain store standards.
Assist with staffing schedules, opening / closing procedures, and daily checklists.
Customer Experience
Ensure a consistently high level of customer service on every shift.
Address customer queries and drive a service culture aligned with brand expectations.
Support product demonstrations and in-store engagement activities.
Team Leadership
Lead, motivate, and guide a team of approximately seven staff members.
Support training, coaching, and performance management in line with company policies.
Assist with succession planning, talent development, and fostering a positive team culture.
Provide daily feedback, recognition, and direction to ensure team alignment.
Compliance, Standards & Safety
Maintain compliance with health and safety procedures and ensure a safe store environment.
Uphold housekeeping, merchandising, and visual standards.
Assist with loss prevention procedures, red-flag reporting, and stock checks.
Education & Experience
3-5 years experience in a retail leadership role (Shift Leader or Store Leader level).
Experience in apparel, accessories, or general retail environments preferred.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel.
Proven ability to manage staff, drive performance, and deliver excellent customer service.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on retail environment.
