Van Kaizen is looking for a Country Manager – South Africa to lead its operations and drive strategic growth in the local market.
This role serves as the company's primary representative, overseeing stakeholder relationships, regulatory compliance, marketing initiatives, and affiliate partnerships, while ensuring the business operates responsibly and within South African legal frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Van Kaizen's lead representative in South Africa, building and maintaining strong relationships with regulators, partners, affiliates, and industry stakeholders.
- Lead and manage the local team, driving performance, development, and operational excellence.
- Oversee budget planning and financial management, including annual operating and capital expenditure.
- Design and execute marketing strategies tailored to the South African market, with a strong focus on affiliate marketing that adheres to local compliance standards.
- Recruit, manage, and optimise affiliate partnerships to enhance brand visibility and customer acquisition.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes, ensuring all marketing, affiliate, and operational activities remain fully compliant.
- Collaborate with product teams on localisation strategies to align offerings with customer needs and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct ongoing market and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and strengthen market position.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years' experience in online gambling operations within South Africa.At least 3 years in a leadership or management role.Strong knowledge of the South African gambling market, competitors, and licensing regulations.Solid understanding of South African Labour Law and Gambling Law.Proven expertise in marketing strategy and affiliate marketing, with a clear grasp of regulatory restrictions on advertising.Excellent command of English (Afrikaans or additional local languages are an advantage).Ability to operate independently while collaborating with an international, remote team.Strong financial acumen with experience in business planning, reporting, and analytics.Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.Proven problem‑solving and critical thinking ability.#J-18808-Ljbffr
