Job Advert Summary

An opportunity has arisen for a Semi-Skilled Spraypainter who prepares surfaces by sanding / cleaning and applies undercoats / final coats with a brush and / or roller.

Applies coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel or lacquer to decorate and protect interior or exterior surfaces, trimmings and fixtures of buildings and other structures.

Selects premixed paints or mixes required portions of pigment, oil and thinning and drying substances to prepare paint that matches specified colours.

Minimum Requirements

Matric / NQ4 Level 4 / Higher Certificate / NQF level 5

Minimum of 2 to 3 years experience as Semi-Skilled Spraypainter working with vehicles

Adhere to safe working procedures

Colour matching skills

Able to operate spraypainting equipment

Able to apply paint evenly

Ability to work under pressure

Duties & Responsibilities

Clean and prepare jobs

Spray painting trailers and trucks

Use of paint systems

Lifting and turning of jobs

General housekeeping

General assistance

Repair minor accident damage to OM spec

Ensure all spraypainting equipment is cleaned after use

Carry out repairs to tautliner trailer curtains and roofs

Operating of electrical tool and equipment

Minor mechanical repairs

Closing Date
