Introduction
- Applications are invited for the position of Manager : Flight and Flow Operations on (Peromnes Grade 7) based at Bruma. The successful applicant will be reporting to the Head : Aeronautical Information Management and Systems.
- Purpose To manage the performance of the Flight and Flow Operations section by ensuring safe and efficient flight operations through the provision of flight plan filing services, namely the receiving, processing and distribution of flight plan (preliminary, filed, current or operational flight plans) and related Air Traffic Services messages within the Air Traffic Management system.

At least 10 years’ experience in Air Traffic Management operations (AIM – FLIGHT PLANNING / NOTAM or ATS / AIR TRAFFIC FLOW MANAGEMENT)Experience in aeronautical data quality, collection, analysis and methodology is requiredIn-depth knowledge of ICAO documents pertaining to flight and flow information (FPL, FIXM, Flow Management)Experience in standards and regulations for the collection, storage, and use of aircraft characteristics and performance dataExperience in defining requirements / specifications for flight planning and briefing systemsOperational experience and knowledge of co-ordinate systems, aeronautical data and information, including Maps / Charts, co-ordinate and map projectionsFlight Information Exchange Model (FIXM)Aeronautical Radio, Incorporated (ARINC 424)Geographic Information Systems (GIS)Aeronautical Data Quality (ADQ)Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint) and other productivity toolsProject Management ExperienceTeam Resource ManagementOn the Job Training (OJT) / Training InstructorApply by : 27 October 2025

Management of Safety Oversight Plans for General Aviation Organisations (Part 93, Part 149 and certain Part 96 Organisations)
Determine the safety objectives for the general aviation sectorDraw up and implement Master Oversight and Surveillance Plans / programmes for safety oversightDetermine and allocate the resources to execute the safety and oversight plansManage the resources that conduct the safety oversight plansContinuously review operational performance against the MOSP and the progress of other technical and operational programsMake relevant recommendations pertaining to safety management systems for general aviation organisationsBudgeting and Control
Compile and manage the section's budgetControl budget expenditureOperational Management

EDUCATION :
Commercial Pilot License with 500 Flying HoursNQF Level 6 Qualification in Management or related fieldEXPERIENCE :
