Head of Department for our Human Resources
Whats the job all about
As the Human Resources Head of Department you will play a pivotal role in shaping our organizations people strategy and fostering a positive work environment. You will lead a team of HR professionals to attract develop and retain top talent while also ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.
What are your key responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business objectives.
- Oversee all aspects of the employee lifecycle including recruitment onboarding performance management and offboarding.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters including employee relations conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
- Lead the development and implementation of training and development programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
- Drive diversity equity and inclusion initiatives to create a more inclusive and equitable workplace.
- Manage compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness and fairness.
- Stay updated on HR trends and best practices to continuously improve HR processes and policies.
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve organizational goals and promote a positive company culture.
These are the desirable qualifications.
Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field. (Masters degree preferred)SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification highly desirable.3 years of progressive experience in human resources roles with 2 years in a leadership position.Experience working with Sage VIP HR Premier and ESS systems.Strong knowledge of South African employment laws and regulations.Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels of the organization.Proven track record of developing and implementing HR strategies that drive business results.Ability to think strategically and solve complex problems.Exceptional communication and presentation skills.Whats in it for you.
