Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible collecting, analysing and interpreting complex healthcare data to support clinical, operational and strategic decision-making. The role requires strong technical expertise in SQL, data visualisation tools such as Power BI (or similar) and knowledge of clinical coding standards.
Essential Job Functions
- Extract, manipulate and analyse large datasets using SQL to support business and clinical requirements.
- Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, patterns and insights.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI (or equivalent data visualisation tools) to support decision-making.
- Ensure accuracy, integrity and consistency of clinical and operational data through validation and quality checks.
- Interpret and apply clinical coding standards (ICD, CPT, SNOMED or similar) in data analysis and reporting.
- Identify trends, anomalies and insights to inform clinical and business decisions.
- Collaborate with clinically qualified parties and business teams to define reporting needs, provide actionable insights and translate them into data solutions.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy and regulatory standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of data processes, systems and analytical methodologies.
- Support strategic initiatives with data-driven insights.
Skills and Functional Requirements
Advanced SQL programming (queries, stored procedures, optimisation).Data visualisation using Power BI (preferred) or equivalent (Tableau, Qlik, Looker).Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and data manipulation techniques.Sound knowledge of clinical coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, SNOMED CT, DRG).Familiarity with relational databases and data warehousing concepts.Understanding of healthcare informatics and clinical workflows.Statistical analysis knowledge (R, Python, or SAS – advantageous).Minimum Requirements
Degree in Data Science, Health Informatics, Statistics, Computer Science or related field.Relevant post-graduate degree preferred.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in clinical - and / or healthcare data analysis.Strong SQL skills with proven ability to query, manipulate and manage complex datasets.Proficiency in Power BI (or similar visualisation / BI tools such as Tableau, Qlik).Solid understanding of clinical coding standards and terminologies (ICD-10, CPT, SNOMED, or equivalent).Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Strong communication skills to translate technical data insights into business / clinical language.Experience working in a healthcare, clinical research or data environment.#J-18808-Ljbffr
