A large, dynamic organisation within the FMCG space is seeking a Group Head of Production to provide production leadership across the various entities of the Group.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership within the fishing industry, having led production and process engineering staff, with the mandate of optimising and improving the production engineering competencies across the business.Reporting Line : The Group Head of Production will report into the Chief Operating Officer of the Group.Core Role and Responsibilities include : Provide Production (Factory, Production Process, Production Systems, and Production related Human Resources) Leadership across the Group.Understand and engage in the various entities across the Group.Seek optimisation opportunities and drive demonstrable improvements across each of the core production platforms.Lead and develop the Production Processing Competency, ensuring and delivering best-in-class production metrics across the respective factory / plant / production platforms.Lead and develop the Production Engineering Competency, ensuring and delivering best-in-class production metrics across the respective factory / plant / production platforms.Lead and develop the Human Resources (upper, middle, and lower grades) associated with both the production processing and production engineering functions.Core Deliverables : Identify and deliver on process and efficiency improvements across the core scope of the Role, prioritising the Wetfish and Value Added facilities.Attend the Monthly Fishing Opsco meetings, reporting on topics, risks, and initiatives needing presentation to the wider Fishing Opsco Group.Be visible and lead the process and business improvement change necessary across the Core Role Scope.Together with the Heads of Functions and Facilities set out in the Core Scope of Role, develop and then deliver on the annual budgets presented to the Board.Location of Role : The Core Scope of Role will require the Head of Production to provide on-site and visible leadership.
The Role will require travel across the various group Sites and time onsite at the various processing facilities.Experience : Applicants will require to demonstrate : At least 15-20 years of complex production processing experience.Demonstrated leadership capability of production processing and engineering staff.Experience of working across a number of processing platforms.Experience of working across a number of geographies.Experience of working with (and optimising) core fish-processing (e.g., Marel, Neinstedtt, Baarder, Trio, Frying, and Freezing Processing Equipment).High level of engineering understanding and competence relating to the above fish-processing equipment.Experience in engaging with Organised Labour.Experience of operating, engaging, and being part of senior management of an organisation - able to converse and communicate effectively at that level.Enjoyment and success in operating and delivering within complex and high business performance cultures.Remuneration : This Role's remuneration will be developed and aligned to the Group's Remuneration Policies and in accordance with market-related salaries.
