Experienced Portfolio Manager -listed JSE / offshore shares

A boutique leading independent stockbroking and private wealth management firm is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and appropriately qualified Portfolio Manager specialising in listed equities to join its investment team. The role focuses on the discretionary management of South African and global listed share portfolios for private clients.

Responsibilities

• Listed Share Portfolio management : Manage and grow a discretionary book of retail high net worth client equity / share portfolios.
• Provide tailored share investment advice, implement trades, and communicate proactively with clients.
• Engage with internal and external referring advisors to build strong client relationships.
• Construct and manage share portfolios in line with the firm’s investment philosophy and client mandates.
• Actively participate in the Investment Committee , contributing to model portfolio construction and equity research .
• Continuously research and monitor local and global listed equities and macroeconomic trends.

Qualifications and Experience Required

Candidates without the Stockbroking board exams may be considered if they have strong valuation and equity portfolio construction experience , with a commitment to complete the relevant exams within defined timelines.
